Numerical Technologies is a technology-driven solution provider specializing not only in the development and maintenance of financial risk management software, but also offering expert consulting capabilities in high-performance computing (HPC), parallel Monte Carlo simulations, and financial modeling.
Our Japan office was established in 1998 and has since been adopted by numerous major financial institutions and general trading companies, earning a strong reputation as one of the top players in this field domestically.
In August 2010, we also established a Singapore office. Building on our software development expertise, we actively pursue research and development of advanced technologies, including generative AI, and engage in marketing activities across overseas markets, particularly in Asia.
Management Team
Hideyuki Torii
Leveraging his expertise as a computer architect and his experience as a financial professional, he founded Numerical Technologies Co., Ltd in 1998. He currently serves as the representative of both the Japan and Singapore offices.
In his previous role at Sumitomo Bank (now Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation), he was seconded to Goldman Sachs in the U.S. and engaged in bond trading, risk management, and ALM system development.
Yoshikazu Tsutsui
Joined the company in 1999 as a Director, primarily responsible for product planning and client implementation support. Appointed as a Director of Numerical Technologies Pte. Ltd. (concurrent position) in 2010.
Previously worked at Sumitomo Bank (now Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation), primarily managing yen-denominated bond portfolios for the investment account. Later joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where he engaged in audit services before transferring to the consulting division to work on risk management for financial institutions.
Masahiko Hirano
Joined the company in 1998 as a Director, overseeing business development including sales and marketing. Appointed as a Director of Numerical Technologies Pte. Ltd. (concurrent position) in 2010.
Previously served at Digital Equipment Corporation Japan (DEC Japan) as a Global Account Sales Manager in the Financial Sales Division, handling major financial clients.
Osamu Egawa
Joined the company in 2000 in sales and customer support roles, and was appointed Director in 2019. Primarily responsible for backend development and maintenance. In 2024, also appointed as Director of Numerical Technologies Pte. Ltd. (concurrent position).
Previously worked at CSK (now SCSK), handling sales for financial institutions. During that time, he was seconded to RiskMetrics Group (now MSCI), where he was responsible for sales and customer support of risk management systems.
Siaw Kian Zhong
After graduating from the National University of Singapore (Engineering Science) in 2013, he joined Numerical Technologies Pte. Ltd. as a software engineer. He held various management roles within the development division and was appointed COO and CTO of Numerical Technologies Pte. Ltd. in December 2021.
While overseeing the formulation of technical strategy and overall business operations, he also leads the development of the company’s core platform, NtSaaS.

The report provides an independent, objective assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of our internal controls throughout the examination period. The report is available to existing and prospective customers under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
